Hey Guys, I was spec'ed for a 68" 3ph snowblower for a B7510, isn't that a little large for 21hp/17pto?

I don't have a blower but it seems like Kubota recommends a 60" or smaller for that tractor. My 24/20 horse 4115 is spec'd for 60 inches. Most BX's (same HP class as the 7500) are set up with 50 inch blowers

You might be ok if your area does not get heavy wet snows. ....

I wonder if the specs sheet should read 48" rather than 68"? If the tractor's rear tires track about 4' I'd bet the specs sheet is wrong.

I just can't see using a 68" blower (which is a size I haven't heard of) with 17 pto hp. It'd probably work if the tractor has HST and can maintain very low ground speeds at pto rpm. It also might work in areas that receive only light snows. I don't think I'd want to clear very long drives at the speeds I think you'd have to go to clear any sort of significant snow.

For example, in moderately heavy snow, I have to drop my ground speed from 2.1 mph to .8 mph. My blower is 60" and the pto hp is 24. In heavy wet snows .8 mph is still too fast. I expect the performance of a 68" blower with 17 pto hp would be less. ....

psalm27,
Unless you always get real 'powder' snow, a 68" blower is way too much for 17PTOHP. I use a 64" blower with 24PTOHP, and I can say I'm glad I have HST because when it drifts I have to go very slowly.

I believe the tractor is spec'ed at a Max. of 60" for a blower. I use a 54" puma on mine. It will get you outside
of your tread and not wear something out. I have buried it
in 20" + dry snow and it worked fine. Would not want a bigger blower on a 7500 class tractor. (IMO) ....

I got a 51" new metero on my b7500. It handles it pretty well in heavy snow. I wouldn't go under 51" (accutal width of rear tires) and not over 54" if you get mild to heavy wet snow. Dry powder type i would get a 60". ....
